Meeting Start Time: 6:00 PM (pizza & networking), 6:30 PM (presentation)

As software systems process ever larger amounts of information and users expect highly interactive web and mobile applications, concurrent software architectures must deliver. In our past meetings, we have looked at various enablers of application concurrency, from Erlang and F# to parallel programming patterns in .NET 4.0. On November 22nd, we will look at yet another framework that is being commonly used by companies such as Klout and Yammer – node.js. Michael Mann will introduce the technology, as well as define ideal use cases for it.

Michael’s slides and demos are available on github: https://github.com/passionateprogrammersguild/Practical-Nodejs-on-Windows

We appreciate all of the support our group receives from TEK Systems!
